The original project was respected, we believed it deserved it, we only cared about aesthetically integrating the whole in such a way that it seems that growth was planned from the beginning. If you look at the before and after photos, much of the masonry details were preserved and integrated into the new ones without trauma, we added some horizontal lines to hide possible cracks in the joints between new and old walls and to create a skin that integrates homogeneously the annex to the existing. The vaulted roof had a greater intention in the interiors than in the exterior, however, we believe we have given, with that vault, a very appropriate end point for the vertical growth of the house.
